Snow on Balevullin !!!!

The recent cold snap in the UK has even managed to hit Tiree. This picture, taken at the weekend, shows the snow line on the sand at Balevullin beach. This beach is normally enjoyed by surfers, kitesurfers and windsurfers but none were out on this day!!!!

With only two people out, Willy (from Wild Diamond) and Tim had the conditions all to themselves for a couple of hours during the warmest part of the day. With pretty strong and steady conditions Willy was on a 4.5m2 Simmer Black Tip and 69 litre tabou pocket wave while Tim opted for a smaller/bigger combo of 4.0m2 and 78 litre tabou pocket. Waves were in the 6′ to 8′ range over the course of the session with temperatures not bad for the time of year but definitely dropping!
